Good morning. We are in a world wind of business, marketing, presentations,proposals,and writing this month. This is a good thing. The reason we want to discuss focus and patience is that while you are on your journey to the dream there will be distractions and they will look real or important. Don't get sidetracked.
If you don't currently practice meditation now would be a good time to start. We recently had dis-ease diagnosis and this was a big distraction at first, then we realized this is an opportunity to once again help others, while healing ourselves. After mediating and getting focused another business venture presented itself.
You must maintain a good place mentally and physically to enjoy your life and to see your project to fruition. We now have a new diet and have added swimming 3 days per week to our lifestyle. Writing can do this to you since you sit behind a computer for hours and snack, and drink loads of coffee.
The assignment for this week is for you to begin hand writing your business plan. Write out your executive summary, your mission statement and your product description. None of this needs to be perfect so don't get stressed out. This is an exercise to help you focus. Remember that you want to create this document that you would need to get an investor or a lender to get your business off to a good start. If you don't need any money to start your business that's great, but as you grow you may want to expand your business so this will help.
Don't rush to complete this exercise. Act as if you are going to get a loan or an investor to fund your business based on what you are writing.
