Good morning all. This has been a great month. I have been in North Carolina assisting my daughter since the last part of September. I am very grateful to be blessed to do so. Most people can not stop everything they are doing, especially those who work at a job, to care for a loved one for a day much less a month. One of the main reasons I titled our book, "Y.O.L.O (you only live once), is that I have come to realize that we have no idea when we may die. So many live as though they have an infinite amount of time. This is not true. When you die will you have regrets about things you wanted to do or how you choose to spend the majority of your time? I will not. Happiness, love and joy are more important than anything else. So let's get on with today's lesson.
Learning from other peoples mistakes is a great tool. I attended a tele-seminar yesterday with a very knowledgeable gentleman named Brendan Buchard. He is a leader in my field of speaking, training, author, and on-line marketing. Our core messages are different, yet he had so many wonderful strategies that I could implement immediately and he saved me years of testing what works and what doesn't work. I really liked that I could feel his passion to help others through the entire class and it was almost two hours.
We have a chapter dedicated to failure in our second book part II of the Living Out Loud,Now series titled "Now What." Most of the time you must fail your way to success, other times you can take a class, read a book, buy a DVD,CD, or listen to a tele-seminar from someone who has gotten on the other side of failure.
No matter what your goals or objectives for your life and that of your family you have to decide that you will pay the cost to have the life you desire. Cost is not always monetary. I have often given people free copies of my book because I see that even a small amount of money spent outside of their monthly budget would break the bank or create chaos in their lives. This blog is free and I really care about it's content and I only write from inspiration.
I have been working on a members website to compliment this blog. I want it to be a community space for leader's and new business owners and anyone who has something of value to say through post that would help someone. I have found that other peoples mistakes and ideas in a variety of life situations can help others heal or become better. This blog has a global following so maybe you have been to another country or live in another country and can explain something with more clarity than just my perspective. I have been working on this all month, along with other projects since I have a lot of time in-between caring for my daughter. So look for the link to come once I have it to my satisfaction. Last month we launched dswoodard.com and I would appreciate your opinion or ideas as well.
To Your Success,
DS Woodard
