Good morning, We are very happy with last months readership and with the growth that has taken place for those we are working with at DS Woodard Consulting. This is the beginning of the sprint to the school year end events, prom, graduation, college & career choices. For those we have been working directly with, you are well on your way to a great start in the next phase of life goals. You actually have set some goals and achieved some goals, so you know what to do next. You have a road map and you are confident that you will arrive at your pre-set destination.
This post is about choices. We all have choices, on a daily bases we are met with what should I do next. If you have been working with us you know that you have to :
1. Create a list of goals, 3months, 6months, 1 year, 5 year, 10 year and beyond. 2. Practice what ever you have chosen as your life path. If you are a student you have to study, do not expect your teacher, professor, or instructor to open your brain up and pour it in, study(practice) what you are learning daily and get the lessons while you are there. "There's nothing worse than being stupid when you get out of school, unless your broke and stupid," Jim Rohn We are affected by what we know. 3. It's not your boss's job to make sure you get rich, it's your bosses job to make sure you get a paycheck. Most jobs pay you just enough for you to show up, everything after that is up to you.
You must put in the extra time, the extra learning and training that is necessary to become more and to have more for your family's and your future. If you are in sales, take some extra classes on being a professional sales person, most companies have a training course, but it is to give you the basics like kindergarten. Go to the free public library, the wisdom of the world at your disposal, and it is easy because it is free. It is up to you to go beyond in-order to be as successful as you want to be.
Every day we are faced with choices, some are subtle(we may not see them right away), some are very big and we can't help but notice them, however every day we are in charge of what our life experience is going to be.
Don't be lazy, make a plan of what you will do tomorrow today! Become an active participant in your life experience and make it a good one. Remember what's easy to do is easy not to do, be disiplined.
To your success, DS Woodard
